I bought this to use in a very narrow space on my porch, I put a 6 plug in strip in the bottom pull out drawer, cut a hole in the side to plug it in, ran my charger cords to the next shelf to charge cell phones and batteries, etc. I was able to clear all those chargers and phones off my kitchen counter! The rest of the shelves are great for decorations and the cell phone cases, etc. We installed ours without recessing it but it would be nice that way, looks great this way too! There are plenty of sizes to choose from, these would work anywhere in your house.

I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the unit. [...]. The instructions were clear and concise. The unit is very well made and required no assembly other than inserting the shelves after it was installed. The installation was simple and required only 4 wood screws.Of course no do it yourself project ever goes as scripted. When I opened the wall, I found a couple of studs and an electrical cable that I had not anticipated. However, these were quickly dealt with and the unit slipped in easily. The assembly was true and square. Further, it is very rigid so it stays true and square. For the money, you will not find a better way to utilize wasted space.
