No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Every website carrying Porter Cable biscuits states that the biscuits fit slots made by all standard joiners. The "FF" biscuit made by Porter Cable is sold as fitting the Ryobi DBJ50 joiner. This is not true. I purchased a tube of the FF biscuits because I was told [...] that it is a universal fit. I now have a tube of biscuits that I cannot use because they are too thick for the slot made by the DBJ50.
