Way powerful. I was surprised at its efficiency. It is bulky, seems too big/heavy, but when you are actually using it w/ both hands, it is easy to use & manageable-- those supposed problems fade. The Blade Bonus Pack is awesome.
It was a difficult choice versus a few popular competitors. Decision was based upon lighter weight, good features and good power, not to mention right price point.
I'm not much of a home DIYer, but I used this to demo a pantry and double-oven surround. It was great, and made short work of nails, studs, etc. None of the blades were happy with the cement board/ plaster, but that's not really the fault of the tool. My B-I-L is a long-time remodeler, and thought the quick-change blade feature was great.
This Sawzall is very lightweight and quite powerful.
