I purchased one of these drills last month and liked it so much I just bought another one for my other work area. The drill is powerful but light weight with a strong, easy to use, keyless chuck. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being the worst 10 being the best, I rate this drill a 10.

Owned a similar drill but not nearly as powerful. No negattives that I'm aware of. Much better than battery powered unless you are working in the field.

Good value for a 3/8" variable speed, 2500 RPM drill. Not loud enough to cause discomfort or require hearing protection for intermittent use. I regularly use hearing protection.Reviews [...] didn't like the ratcheting chuck, but I find it superior to the Milwaukee non-ratcheting steel chuck that I have. Doesn't slip or bind - I tried. Easy to close and open by hand.Variable speed trigger allows precise control. [...]reviewers may have had weak hands. The datecode on this drill is 200548xx, purchased in 2007.I almost changed my order to Hitachi because of poor reviews of this drill, but am pleased with the performance in metal and wood so far. Doesn't hesitate boring one inch holes in pressure treated lumber with a boring bit.I received the drill within three business days of ordering.
