I inherited a gun and some of these awesome points and they work great for framing all of my stretched canvas and canvas panel artwork. The frames I use are Hard wood and the gun is powerful enough to sink the point in past the tip of the point, which is far enough to grab. The gun would perform better with a Medium hardness wood. A soft wood maybe not so good because you risk running the point straight through the frame. The gun does have quite a bit of recoil so you will want to anchor the frame to avoid it moving with the gun's force, and thus allow the point to penetrate the wood better. The points are bendable. They come out easy with a pair of pliers. Overall, just a great tool for framing. They make framing painless, fast and easy.
