For heavy to light sanding of paint, wood, and metal, flat or contoured surfaces. Versatile and handy, use with either 3M No.9119 adhesive-backed sanding block sheets or regular sandpaper. Kit contains plastic sanding block and 5 adhesive-backed sandpaper sheets 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" (1 coarse, 2 fine, 2 medium).

I found these blocks after searching for two years. Even 3M couldn't find them...finally revealing that they want to discontinue them in favor of more profitable products. I bought five to last the rest of my life and give to friends. All other sanding blocks weigh 5 times more and you feel the difference after just a dozen strokes over your head.
To cut sandpaper I fold the sheet rough side out and crease it, then insert a 12" carving knife or equivalent and slit the paper from the smooth side. You get four 2 3/4" strips exactly from a standard sheet. The strips lock perfectly into the sanding block, far better than the self-adhesive pieces.
