This is one fine hose reel, deluxe you could say, but for the money it's hard to believe they use a wide, brittle, plastic tie to secure the hose to the reel instead of a better hose clamp or the reel brake was also a plastic ring with nut & screw that wouldn't tighten enough to keep proper tension on the reel. These parts could use improvement, but overall the product is sound and very nice. Instructions were easy to follow, only made one small mistake putting nuts on backward which was easy to correct.
Having back problems, that it is as high as it is makes things much easier too. It is easy to reel, a little too easy being as the brake doesn't work :^) but I'm going to ask for replacement parts and have no reason to believe they won't provide them as there is an insert which instructs you to do so when necessary rather than contact the seller. Too bad I'll have to disassemble so much to put another brake and hose tie on though, and you won't know the brake doesn't work until everything else has been done as it's the last thing you'll adjust.
So far I haven't tested for leaks as I need to fix these minor problems and have been waiting to do so first. Bought this to run from our indoor laundry closet to the balcony for occasional cleaning (condos rarely have outdoor spigots) as we now suffer from California wild fire soot every time ocean winds blow. We're not complaining though, at least we still have a home to clean up thanks to our fantastic fire departments and military. This hose must run through the house back to front, so if it leaks everyone will hear about it for miles! I'll also return to let you know, so no news will be good news.

Not built like they were before being sold to a new owner. On the plus side, it will not rust, and is a bit lighter. Con's, air tires, many pieces bolted together, not as solid as previous model.

Excellent product meets my needs perfectly rolling up the hose is a breeze now. Best hose reel I have ever owed it seems like it will last for years. The only down side is the wrong instruction manual was included, they were for a different modle so assembly was a little bit of a challenge and it took a couple of calls to the 800 number provided.

This hose reel is the the best designed outdoor product of any type that I have seen for a long time. Assembly is straightforward because of the thoughtful design and excellent instructions. It is very sturdy and makes me wonder why I put up with the cheap plastic hose reels all these years.

I was somewhat disappointed when i put this together. After i made sure all my bolts were tight, the slip together construction of it takes away from the durability it really has. The frame doesn't feel as solid because the joints still partially rotate. For the money i spent on this i am somewhat disappointed. :(
