Operating Instructions

Insert Roto Digger into drill with pointed tip away from drill. Tighten drill chuck securely.
Hold the drill firmly with both hands. Place the drill tip of the Roto Digger straight down into ground where you wish to dig. Start drill slowly. Do not push too hard. Medium speed is adequate to operate the Roto Digger. Allow Roto Digger to drill its own hole. Dig down 2” – 3” then slowly pull out, allowing dirt to spin off. Repeat until desired depth is reached. Works best in damp soil. Caution: If you hit a rock, root or other object, you will have to relocate the hole. Roto Digger is not designed to dig through hard materials.

Drilled holes for fertilizer in sandy soil well.
Construction is light and time will tell how it holds up

Great addition to the garden toolkit

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great for bulb planting, aerating etc. Long reach means no need to bend. Could be improved with a hex end on the shaft for more positive grip in the drill chuck, but it does ok once the enamel coating has stripped off. Since sinking bulb holes can be a high torque operation, I'd be cautious powering it with a cheap drill for fear of overheating.
