To ensure the tool-less chain adjustment holds properly, check that the saw has the "intenz" quick adjust bar. The bar adjustment is what keeps the chain on, while the quick adjust is a fine adjustment. If your chain keeps coming off educate yourself on the operation of this particular feature. The adjustment is MUCH different than traditional saws.
I own two of these pieces of junk, one 18 and one 20 inch.Electrolux should stick to vacuums and leave chainsaws to a company that knows what they are doing.
this chainsaw is powerful and easy to operate. the balance makes it easy for odd cutting places.
I've been very satisfied with both Husquvarna and Poulon chain saws, so bought two of this model. Both of these Poulans are very hard to get started, but once started, they cut very well.
Well i got a poulan pro for christmas from my parents and i dont have one problem with mine. If your chain falls off 5 times in 1 hour it just shows you dont know how to run a chain saw or tighten the chain. Also if your nut comes off on the clutch cover you need to learn how to tighten the nuts on the clutch cover up. When I run mine i dont have one licke of problems with it i have cut some wood with it but not alot. When i change my chain i usely check everything before i run it, and i also clean it out and oil the bar so thats prolly why you guys have problems with your. the quick adjust chain system is not well design. the idea is good but it needs work. in one hour of use the chain flew off the bar 5 times. if you can still get the old manuel style stick with it. i took the saw back to lowes for an exchange with the display (old style) and had no problems

My main complaint is that I lost a nut (through normal chainsaw vibration) while cutting a palm tree. This is one of two identical flange nuts that hold the plastic clutch housing cover and the chain bar in place. The instruction manual does not specify the size of the nuts & I thought it may be 5/16 inch. [...] Therefore, [...] I bought 2 5/16 inch nuts, 1 with 18 thread and the other with 24 thread. Neither one would go in. It appears that it may be a metric size (perhaps 8mm). [...]
