I use them everyday, in all types of weather. They are still the best tapes, but not nearly as good as they used to be. They used to last well over a year, but now it seems the blades either split or break after 2-3 months.
I use this the Stanley Fatmax everyday and they always break at the 1 foot line or the 5 foot line. I really like these tape measures but they break easily. I have bought 3 in a month and that can get expensive.
