I bought this drill for my husband for Christmas and he just loves it. He said there is a huge difference in this one and any others he has owned. It is quick and has a lot of power.

Forward / reverse switch sticks, hard to press. Can't they come up with a better design. Not cheap, hope it's worth it. Overall I am satisfied.

Probably the most compact 18 volt drill that I have used, good balance too. It's a full inch shorter than most other "premium" drills out there. Great battery life as far as Ni-Cd's go. The ratcheting chuck doesn't seem to grip the bits as well as it's siblings. I got about 18 months of HARD industrial use before the motor quit. You have to replace the whole motor when the brushes wear out (time consuming and not worth the effort/money from a business point-of-view). DeWALT seems to be proud of their stuff and have priced this thing into a market where it don't compete. [$]. I replaced this drill with a Bosch that has replaceable brushes. If you found a good deal, or have a lot of compatable cordless tools, this is a good way to go.
