I moved into an apartment that had manual temp controls for the radiant heating. I decided to put these in and they work pretty well. You can hear them turn on and off. But it's not that bad. I wish there was a "OFF" button incase we go out of town, but instead you have to set it to the lowest setting with is 45 degrees F.

The thermostats works fine. It was easy to install and easy to program.
Delivery was a month later than specified. I called and called and they just kept telling me to wait for the items it was not thier fault. I tried to talk to a manager, but was told there were none to talk to. I will never do business with Hechinger again. They failed to deliver in a timely manner and kept me in the dark about it.

I searched all over for the best price for a programmable line-voltage (110/120v) thermostat and this is the place. I installed it in less than 10 minutes with just a screwdriver. Programming is real easy with instructions in the flip-down cover. This is a great deal and will save me lots of money this winter!!

The thermostat is inaccurite by about 3 degrees, but it's consistant, so you can set it accordingly to compensate. I have it wired to an electrical outlet so I can control anything I want by the temperature. I keep an electric radiator and fan plugged into it to suppliment my gas furnace. It takes some playing with it to see exactly where it needs to be set to keep the temperature where you want it, but once it's set it does the job.

I purchased 4 of these for the main areas of my home, the bedrooms, family room and kitchen. The all operate on their own schedule and keep the heat on when it's needed, I'll have to wait to see this but I have a feeling I'll be saving some money on my monthly electric bill as well because these things are very accurate compared to the old dial type thermostat I used to have. They are a bit pricey since you have to buy several of them but for me it's worth it.

- I bought 8 of these thermostats, half didn't want to go off. Because I installed them on a weekend I had to wait until Monday to call LuxPro CS. You then had to leave your phone with them. They didn't call back within the 24 hrs. that they said they would. [...] LuxPro CS called a few hrs. after the 24 hrs was up, it turned out the 4 thermostats had to be reset.- The instructions were a little confusing: They said the batteries were NOT included when they were. The instructions said "Press the RESET button if erratic operation is encountered." I didn't consider being on all the time erratic operation, it is like no operation, if the instructions said: "If the thermostats don't go off press RESET", I would have. The instructions need a better trouble shooting section. - The batteries didn't always make good contact with the unit, they had to be tinkered with.I believe the thermostats are a very good deal despite my problems.

Like every other line voltage thermostat I found, this was a bit pricey when compared to low voltage versions. However, you cannot beat the cost savings you will realize by having one of these installed. Considering the fact that most of my house does not use electric heat and I still saved about 20% on my electric bill says quite a lot about this product. If your home uses only electric heat, the cost savings is greatly increased. I had over a 40% drop in my electric bill at a previous home where the primary heat was electric. The LuxPro programmable thermostats are very easy to use and also come preprogrammed. I would recommend this brand to anyone seeking a programmable thermostat.

work good
Works well for my use to warm a small bathroom up to temperature before waking. To program and to over-ride are both very simple and straightforward. Esier to use than a different manufacturers programmable product which I purchased a few years ago for a different room.
Installed in bathroom remodel. My electrician had a difficult time making it look good; it doesn't mount very flush to the wall. But it works great and we're happy.

Very good overall.... Purchased 10 of them for an older all electric house.. (Ouch).. but It would be nice to have a "Hold Temp" option.. Say...set the temp in a room at 50 and hold it there.... But the programing cycle will not allow this...
