I put this aboard my 36' sailing vessel. All the features this yacht demands: compact, low power and quiet are met graciously. If I were at a marina with electricity I would have it on 24/7. I run it during day light hours and the solar array (210 w) has no problem keeping up. Its great for these cold damp winters.

This little dehumidifier does a big job. I am impressed with how much dampness it pulls out of the air. It is easy to use. I had several in my last home as well.
Not as quiet as I would like but not bad for it's size.
My sister recommended it to me.
I love it!

This product is used to take moisture out of the air in a boat cabin. It has done an excellent job of keeping the cabin dry. And that is a lot to say considering it is used in the summer in South Florida!

Great Supplemental Dehumidifier
By Jim from Savannah, GA on 7/12/2007
Pros:
Compact, Energy Efficient, Lightweight, Quiet
Cons:
Small Coverage Area, Works Too Slowly
Best Uses:
Bathroom, Small RV
Describe Yourself:
Homeowner
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This unit is only supposed to cover around 250 sq ft. I live in a small RV with just about that much floor space. For my use, it works great in conjunction with my airconditioner to remove just that much more moisture that my AC can't pull. I wouldn't recommend this unit for any thing larger than a small room or office, and then it would only be effective with the doors and windows closed. But for small areas, this is a great value.

I purchased this product for my father-in-law who is 87 and has severe heart problems and problems breathing. When the humidity is high he would stuggle to breathe. Since he got the dehumidifier he has been able to get a full night's sleep with out the feeling of suffocating. He is pleased and so are we!

Compact and Easy To Use!
By JasonVerified Purchaser from North Augusta, SC on 2/27/2007
Pros:
Compact, Easy To Assemble, Easy To Clean, Simple Controls
Best Uses:
Everyday Use, Humid Bathrooms
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

One of the bathrooms in my home stayed humid and mildew easily formed in the bathtub and shower. I now run this dehumidifier 24/7 in the bathroom with the door closed most of the time. It removes a great deal of the moisture from the air.

Doesn't Perform as It Claims
By reedera4Verified Reviewer from Elizabethtown, Kentucky on 2/20/2007
Pros:
Compact, Easy To Assemble
Cons:
Doesn't work
Best Uses:
None
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The product was purchased as a Christmas gift. Upon using the product, we found it did not work at all. It pulled no moisture whatsoever out of the air, and it was placed in a small garage for 3 days! We wasted almost $[...] I would not recommend this to my worst enemy.

Works as Advertised
By Buckheiser from South Central Pennsylvania on 2/18/2007
Pros:
Compact, Easy To Assemble, Easy To Clean, Simple Controls, Works well in small areas
Cons:
None
Best Uses:
Everyday Use, Smaller Rooms
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This unit worked exactly as described but the area that I was using it in which was a cement block storage room which had water saturated block and was just too much for a small dehumidifier and I had to purchase a larger dehumidifier.
I would still recommend the Windchaser for small areas with more normal amounts of humidity.
