Product works well as a door bell extended in a home occupied by older couple with deminished hearing acuity. Shopping online saves expense of operating an auto to track down the needed item locally.

Works great, well worth the money.
The only negative is one must go to the transmitter unit in the wired doorbell to make a change to the ringer selection. (Ding, Ding Dong, Westminster Chime, etc.)

This is the only item I found which allows you to hear a doorbell outside, in the garage, etc. using the existing hard-wired system in your house. Inexpensive, two seconds to wire up, works well.

I bought this because when in my backyard I couldnt hear the doorbell in the front of the house. I only wish it was weather proof so it could be hooked up IN the backyard. The best thing about it is that it runs off the tranformer power and doesnt need a battery.

Friends and neighbors had thought no one was home when we were in our home office and couldn't hear the doorbell. Now we can use Extend A Chime in our office or workshop and be alerted when we have a visitor. Installation was less than 5 minutes and required only a screw driver. This is a great product.

I couldn't find a wired doorbell extender at any of our local hardware stores. Having had one in a previous home, I knew I wanted another. The wireless extenders just do not work consistently like this wired one. [...]
