This is a pretty sophisticated little unit. I thought it was supposed to be fully automatic but you still have to press lots of buttons to get it set up to charge properly. The instructions are somewhat lengthy and somewhat unclear at times. Otherwise, this is a very good compact unit, well worth the money.

I tried to charge my less-than-2-year-old car battery after I hadn't driven for a few weeks (2 or 3), and it told me that the battery was bad and needed to be replaced. This didn't make me too happy; I had AAA jump-start it and drove to Goodyear where I'd bought the battery. They tested it and confirmed that it was bad. Now I'm totally prepared to rely on this charger.
