The Legacy L8310 Levelwind Retractable Air Hose Reel could be a good product, if it weren't for all the hassle around it. It comes with a short 3' lead-in hose, which is not nearly long enough for the product to perform as advertised when mounted to a bench or wall. The optional 10' leader hose listed in the manual should come stock with the product at the premium price charged. The fact that they charge this much for the reel and include a worthless leader hose makes this a bit of a rip off. When I called Legacy Manufacturing, the maker, they informed me that they would not send one to me as a replacement, and would not even sell one to me as they only sold to dealers. And, no dealers stock the part, so it takes 4 weeks to special order. This is ridiculous! I do not recommend the purchase of this product, both because of the 3' leader hose problem, and the indifferent attitude of the manufacturer towards its customers. My advice is to buy a cheaper reel, that comes with a longer lead-in hose. It is too bad, really, because the retractable feature of this reel is a good idea that can save hose tangling and make storage much easier.
