I pull the compressor over the lawn. Due to it's small wheels it pulls rather hard. I appreciate the high quality built into the machine.

This compressor was a replacement for an 8-gallon Pancake that was stolen. I was very pleased with the compressor from the first start-up. The sound from the low RPM motor is a much lower tone than my other compressors and did not vibrate the concrete when I plugged it in. The Makita was well worth the additional expense compared to the other portables. The unit is very heavy but is on wheels so I actually work less moving the unit during the day. The hose storage rack is very convenient and there is a storage area that holds wrenches, fittings and air tools. Great product that I would buy again. A heavier duty wheel choice would be the only improvement that I would like to see on the next model.

Very nice compressor
By Al the falconerVerified Purchaser from Texarkana, TX on 2/23/2007
Pros:
Good Value
Cons:
plastic wheels
Best Uses:
Will run all my air tools
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Very well made compressor. Even with oil - alittle noisy. I knew before I bought I would not like the wheels. Replacements I found will take care of that. It will run finish and framing nailers.
I will get much use out of this machine.

Positive experience and best price..

Pros:
Durable, Good Value, High Quality
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have used the compressor to run a small abrasive sand blaster. It seems to power up fine and be adequate for the blaster. The compressor is stout and has useful features like a collapsing handle, storage bars for the hose, and a useful/small storage bin. I like it much more than a twin stack compressor. The draincock is easy to reach as well. [...]

It was as nice as advertised

It[...]. Put the oil in the machine, ran great - no leaks. It will run finishers and nail guns with no problems. The wheels are my only complaint - but I already knew that when I ordered it. Nice compressor.
