Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
About two thirds as loud as previous unit, but can still hear it upstairs. Arrived with broken belt guard, but CH quickly replaced that without hassle. Haven't had it enough time yet to give comprehensive review. I especially like the high CFM in this size unit.
